WHY WOMEN, CHILDREN AND THE DISABLED?

In the context of our community, girls have less chances of getting education compared to boys. Girls are perceived and potential brides for greedy men in the community.

When it comes to children with disabilities, many African men see them as a curse to their families. When a woman produces a child with disability, a big number of men run away from their homes and leave all the responsibilities to their wives. this  makes life very hard both for a child and the mother.

The mother has to look for money to sustain the family and take on all other motherly responsibilities in the family. Therefore, there is need to empower women, young girls , and children living in very poor, far to reach and under served communities of Uganda.

Economic vulnerability is so rampant amongst the above mentioned groups of people that is why we chose to work with them and support them to complement their efforts.
